Two years ago, the outdated stationary crushing plant for processing the LD and HO slag was replaced by the Neuson Hydrotec assembly teams.
Expanding the heart of an existing plant and integrating a new jaw crusher presented the team with a number of challenges. With over 40 years of experience in special machine construction, the “operation at the heart of the plant” was a success.
The drive unit was converted to electro-hydraulics. The new system now uses a 132 kW electric motor to drive the hydraulic unit. All control components have been replaced.
Over 9000 operating hours in the last two years demonstrate the stability and reliability of the ST01BB jaw crusher.
Up to 200 tons per hour with a feed size of 80 – 350 mm are processed in 2 work shifts of 8 hours each.
The base manager says: “Since the conversion, I can now crush both HO and LD slag with one system. This has massively reduced the complexity of processing. We are very satisfied with the performance of the crusher and the support from Neuson Hydrotec. Thanks to the commitment and experience of the Neuson employees, the replacement could be implemented quickly.
